Kayak Tour Ometepe

We pick you up at your hotel or at the port and make an average 30 minute trip to get to a beach famous for its views and calm waters, Playa Peru is our destination to start our kayak tour.

In Playa Peru, we give you all the instructions and what you need to know about our kayaking activity that will be an average of two hours, we give you life jackets, water, you can choose your kayak that can be double or single. 

When you are ready we start our trip to the Istiam River which is located in the middle of the two volcanoes of Ometepe, this trip will be done in a boat that will also be waiting for us at the entrance of the river, this trip in the boat will allow us to have impressive views of the volcanoes and will be a great help to take better advantage of the time inside the river. 

Istiam river is actually a wetland which we enter in the kayaks, it is very relaxing and there is a lot to see, for example: turtles, monkeys, birds, caimans and much more. 

With an experienced guide you will feel safe and relaxed which will help you to be more interested in the variety of animals and trees. 

After four hours we have finished our activity, both schedules are good, if you do it in the morning then we take you to a good restaurant for lunch after the activity, it can be Playa Mangos Restaurant or Villa Paraiso Restaurant, and if you do it in the afternoon schedule you have the opportunity to have the sunset at the exit of the river from the kayak so both schedules are good and you can combine it with other part time activities in Ometepe.
