Classic Tour Ometepe

We start by picking you up at the port or at your hotel on Ometepe Island.

Charco Verde is a nature reserve with a green lagoon inside and lots of wildlife and interesting trees. They also have a butterfly garden. 

First we start visiting the butterfly garden where we see the work they do to keep this beautiful garden and its species of butterflies well preserved, then we walk for an hour on a flat and well maintained trail where you can see howler monkeys and various types of birds plus good views of the volcanoes. 

Then we travel 15 minutes by car to get to Santo Domingo beach, a very special place unique for having white sand on a volcanic island, in this place we will have lunch as it has very good options overlooking the lake and a refreshing breeze. 

After lunch, we travel only five minutes by car to reach Ojo de Agua, a spring of crystalline waters of volcanic origin, but not hot, in which its healing and rejuvenating waters will make you feel revitalized and this spring is surrounded by trees which allows us to enjoy shade and a spectacular panorama. 

After a refreshing visit to Ojo de Agua, we travel 30 minutes to reach the best place to watch the sunset, this is a unique and special place where you can feel as if you were walking on the waters of the great lake Cocibolca, Punta de Jesus Maria is a strip of volcanic sand that extends up to two kilometers into the lake when it is summer and allows us to have a unique view of the volcanoes of the island and is also perfect for watching the sunset while having a refreshing drink with your family or friends. 

We end up dropping you off at your hotel on Ometepe Island or at the port to take the boat back.
