Concepción Volcano Hiking Tour

We pick you up at your hotel on Ometepe Island for this full day activity.

After picking you up at your hotel we travel to Los Ramos, in this place is the newest trail of the volcano and also the shortest and most dynamic of the three trails that this volcano has. 

We start walking from an altitude of 250 meters.

This trail measures an average of 7 kilometers and on average it will take us 7 hours to make it there and back.

One of the advantages of this trail is that after only 40 minutes of walking we have a spectacular view of the island, it also offers views from different angles throughout the day, another advantage is that on the way back we can run in one of the volcanic sand flows which is a unique exciting experience and also helps us to return faster. 

The trail is rocky and the main challenge in all the trails of this volcano is the inclination since it is a volcano with a perfect cone, the trail is divided into 4 different stations the first at 360 meters high and only 40 minutes from where we start walking, the second station is at 700 meters high and takes 1 hour to get from the first station, the third station is at 1200 meters and takes 2 hours to reach from the second station and finally the summit is the fourth station and is 45 minutes from the third station and is where you reach 1610 meters high, the summit of the second highest volcano in Nicaragua. 

On average it will take us about 7-8 hours for this hike and it is an extreme adventure, it is one of the favorite volcanoes for hiking lovers, normally we do not organize more activities for this day.

It is currently prohibited by the authorities to climb without a guide.
